Coaching Programmes

Why have coaching?

‘If there was only one way to do something, Fosbury would never have flopped and Borg would never have one Wimbledon!’

  • Coaching, originally used in sport is becoming the number 1 development tool within business, as it is an enabling process which enhances performance beyond what is thought to be possible.
  • If you want to transform your personal and professional development to avoid being ‘one of the rest’, and achieve your ambitions and be ‘one of the best’, then our coaching programmes can help you succeed both personally and professionally.

What is coaching?

  • Coaching has been described as ‘unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance’ (Whitmore, 1996), and also ‘the art of facilitating performance, learning and development of another’ (Downey, 1999).
  • Ultimately, as coaches we assume that you individually have all of the resources you need within you to achieve your desired outcome – even if you are not aware of it.

How does a coaching programme work?

  • A typical programme lasts six months, whereby you will meet with your coach once a month for a 1 ½ hr session. Your coach is therefore a key resource supporting you on your journey of change.
  • During sessions your goals are reviewed, your current progress is assessed, options for your next actions are generated and your motivation and desire is explored, ensuring that your desired outcome is continually forefront of mind and progressed, and doesn’t risk becoming shelved as you firefight with everyday life.
  • In between sessions – all you need to do is commit to the actions you generated within your coaching session. These actions are generated by you, and owned by you, which means they are achievable and realistic, encompassing the many aspects of your life which you need to manage.
